Arsenal have succeeded in signing Kieran Tierney from Celtic Football Club.
The player was unveiled via the club's official website and social media handles some minutes ago.
The left back that cost the Gunners £25m took a flight from Scotland to London yesterday evening before undergoing his medical at London Colney this morning.
It was amazing how this deal eventually pulled through at a time when no one expected it to.
Tierney link with Arsenal started as soon as the season closed as news flew around that something serious was bound to happen.
We were told of a number of offers put forward which got rejected and before we knew it, the noise calmed down.
Hopes became super gloomy last week with reports that the 22-year-old had sustained an injury. Who would want to go for such a player? This same question made fans believe that it was over.
Just few days ago, the claim was debunked by Celtic chiefs and then we began hearing of a possible move for the Isle of Man-born defender.
Now it's reality, its TimeForTierney, Tierney is a Gunner on a long term contract. He will wear the number 3 shirt.
Tierney has been with Celtic since age 7. Before his departure, he has made 170 appearances for them and had 12 caps for Scotland.
Tierney is the fifth summer signing for Arsenal after Gabriel Martinelli, Dani Ceballos, William Saliva, Nicolas Pepe.
Elsewhere, we have been told that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have signed new contracts. We still await an official confirmation.
