Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of a Sampdoria player as the club have made a verbal agreement to free him once a reasonable offer is tabled.
Dennis Praet made the revelation himself while also clearing the air over rumours that he has a release clause in his contract.
The Belgian as well as his teammate Joachim Anderson are two players who in recent weeks have been heavily linked to the Gunners. The sources claimed that they are willing to spend to a fee in the region of £42 million to acquire them both.
It was alleged that Praet has a £22 million release clause on him but Aaron Ramsey's potential successor has said that there is nothing of such.
“I want to move to a top club in one of the four top leagues,” the midfielder told Het Laatste Nieuws.
“I don’t have a release clause, but Sampdoria have verbally agreed to grant me a move if an interesting offer arrives.”
Praet has been with the Serie A outfit since 2016 when he made a €10 million switch from Anderlecht
