Valencia 2-4 Arsenal (3-7 agg): Aubameyang Hattrick Land Gunners in Europa Final

Arsenal will definitely be in Baku for the final of the Europa League on May 29 following the completion of a double-legged tie which ended in their favour.

The Gunners kicked off their semi-final outing at home where they beat Valencia 3-1 last week. In like manner, they made a trip to Spain for the return fixture on Thursday and as fate will have it, there was no big surprise like the ones we saw in the Champions League in the past few days.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged his first Arsenal hattrick while Alexandre Lacazette got one goal to his name to make the scoreline 2-4.

The hosts utilized space present on our right side after Ainsley Maitland-Niles' shot was saved. It was Kevin Gameiro that put them ahead from close range in the eleventh minute.

Auba volleyed in the equaliser six minutes later as he raced on to Laca's flick. What a superb strike from 20 yards!

Lacazette extended our lead through a low shot in the second half but Gameiro again came to his side's rescue.

A cross from Maitland-Niles made it possible for our Gabonese striker to reclaim the lead for us. He later capped it up with a third to end it all on a 7-3 aggregate in our favour.

1st Leg: Lacazette 2-1 Aubameyang
2nd Leg: Lacazette 1-3 Aubameyang

Aubameyang won 4-3 on aggregate

What this means is that Arsenal will face Chelsea in the final game of this season's edition of the competition.

The Blues progressed after a penalty shootout when Eintracht Frankfurt visited the Stamford Bridge. 

Before then, we will have our final match of the 2018/19 Premier League season against Burnley on Sunday.
