Piers Morgan has taken to social media to tweet his support for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following Saturday's penalty miss incident.
Arsenal took the lead through Aaron Ramsey in the 16th minute and kept their cool until Harry Kane brought Tottenham the equaliser from the penalty spot.
It was not long afterward that Unai Emery's side also got awarded a penalty but to the surprise of many, it was missed by Aubameyang, the club's top scorer for the season so far.
It was a chance that could have earned the Gunners all three points to keep them in the top-four zone ahead of their big game with Manchester United on Sunday.
The costly mistake by the Gabonese international has since sparked criticism from supporters that feel he did not take the spot kick serious.
From the other side, there are others who are of the view that anyone can suffer such misfortune and surprisingly, celebrity Arsenal fan, Piers Morgan, is one of them.
The TV personality did not follow his usual trend of throwing blames as he encouraged Auba not to feel bad. He implored him to be strong and do the needful by the time the Red Devils visit the Emirates on March 10.
Chin up @Aubameyang7 - Bergkamp missed a few big penalties too.. it happens to the best. You’ve been brilliant for Arsenal since you joined us, on & off the pitch. Take it out on United next Sunday. 👊 pic.twitter.com/j6eqsy3rxD— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 2, 2019
Arsenal would leapfrog Manchester United if they manage to secure all three points when they make a trip to the Emirates Stadium a week from now. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side currently lead Unai Emery's men with just one point.
