Arsenal pulled a remarkable 3-0 comeback over Rennes to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
The Gunners had in the previous week been trashed 3-1 by the French side thereby putting their chances of remaining in the competition on a low. They knew there was a big task ahead of them and as fate would have it, they utilized their lifeline so well.
In the fifth minute, shortly after Alexandre Lacazette's effort couldn't secure the opener, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired the Gunners ahead as he stuck out his leg to divert Aaron Ramsey's cut-back after the latter has been fed by Ainsley-Maitland Niles.
The Gabonese international continued with his superb display which eventually aided the second, headed in by Maitland-Niles.
It was an energetic one from the 29-year-old who chased the ball down the line before delivering a last-ditch cross which Niles nodded into the centre.
Aubameyang completed his brace for the night, poking in Arsenal's third which he celebrated by slotting on his Black Panther mask. That made it his 32nd goal in 53 appearances for the club.

So far, he has scooped four goals and two assists in this season's edition of the competition. He remains the season's highest goalscorer for Arsenal with 22 goals in all competitions
Unai Emery's men became the second team to progress in the knockout stages after losing 3-1 in the first leg since the birth of the tournament. The first time it happened was 2008 when Fulham beat Juventus 4-1 in the second leg.
The 4-3 aggregate puts Arsenal in today's UEL quarter-final draw that will kick-off at 12pm UK time. Fellow London side; Chelsea, also made it to the last-8. Former Gunners striker, Olivier Giroud, scored a hattrick in the 5-0 win over Dynamo Kiev.
There will be no more competitive action for Arsenal for the rest of the month. They will head to Dubai for a training camp before hosting Newcastle United on April Fools Day.
