Arsenal ended their five-day visit to Dubai in grand style as they secured a 3-2 win over Al-Nasr on Tuesday afternoon.

The friendly match that gave several youngsters a chance was staged to launch the renovated 15 000-capacity Al-Maktoum Stadium.

Despite being the underdogs prior to the game, the hosts took the lead when Fernandez curled a scary shot from the edge of the area into the top corner.

In the build-up to that goal, Shkodran Mustafi once again annoyed fans with his ridiculous fall to the ground, making many of them react via their social media profiles.

The Gunners were able to return into the game before the first period, thanks to Denis Suarez who released the ball for Carl Jenkinson to score.

Following the making of five changes by Unai Emery at the start of the second half., Alexandre Lacazette made it two. A Mesut Ozil flick from an Ainsley-Maitland-Niles pass aided the Frenchman.

Three more youngsters came on and it was one of them who scored Arsenal's third. Tyreece John-Jules slotted home having dispossessed Mohamed Marzouk.

The 18-year old has scored twelve times for the youth teams this season but yesterday's goal gave him unquantifiable delight as he celebrated in front of the Arsenal crowd.

A Khalid Jalal goal from the penalty spot doubled Al-Nasr's goal tally but it was Arsenal that left the ground victorious.

Competitive football action resumes for Arsenal with a game with Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium which will be their first Premier League game since beating Manchester United before the international break.
