In an attempt to fill in the void created by multiple injuries to goalkeepers, Arsenal have brought in Harry Seaden to train at the club.
Injuries to Deyan Iliev and Karl Hein, loan switches for David Ospina, Emi Martinez and Matt Macey and the departure of Daniel Barden to Norwich City means the Gunners are limited in the goalkeeping section.
Available for the first team, U23 and U18 sides at the moment are Bernd Leno (26), Petr Cech (36), Arthur Okonkwo (17), Tom Smith (17), Hubert Graczyk (15) and James Hillson (18) who joined on loan.
Things are beginning to get worse on the fitness front which is why Arsenal have brought in Harry Seaden from Southend to commence training with the U18 team, probably ahead of sealing a loan deal for him.
Looks like Southend goalkeeper Harry Seaden is training with Arsenal U18s, who have had to cope with injuries in that department recently.— Jeorge Bird (@jeorgebird) February 18, 2019
Seaden has got a running contract with Southend's youth side though he has been involved in senior team action for Great Wakering Rovers in non-league football where he has made five appearances since the 5th day of January.
He was in action for Colchester United when they faced the Arsenal U18 in the FA Youth Cup last season.
It is still unknown whether Seaden will be with Arsenal for the rest of the season or just help out in training.
