Phil Neville has called on Arsene Wenger to take a bold step by dropping one of his key players as a result of his performance in recent games.
Successive losses to Watford and Chelsea have lengthened the gap between them and the league leaders, thereby dashing their hopes for the Premier League title.
The weakness in the team is now obvious with a number of players not doing enough to please fans and the manager.
In response to the latest run of inconsistency, Neville has stated that Mesut Ozil ought to be dropped before any good thing will emerge from the side.
“The first person I’d take out of the team would be Mesut Ozil.” the former Manchester United and Everton star was quoted as saying.
“You cannot win a league title with him in the team, playing like he has done in the big games since he’s come to the Premier League. You just can’t.”
I totally agree with Phil. If a player isn't helping the team then he should be dropped even if it is for a while.
When you make it look as if without just one player the team can't succeed then such a player is bound to relax. Ozil needs a break.
