Andre Belotti rumours of a potential move to Arsenal has been flying around of late and as usual, many of us saw it as the normal hoax that are circulated during transfers.
This is different as Torino have confirmed that the Gunners are really interested in the striker and have made a bid.
The club however made it known that they are not satisfied with the amount the Gunners want to pay and as such, they will have to hold on to the Italian.
Belotti's recent contract extension includes an €100 million release clause and it is believed that Torino set a price tag of £50 million for anyone who wants to buy him.
If we are to go by the claims that Arsenal have already offered €65 million, then they have met that condition but it looks as if Torino just want to hold on to the player by all means.
Torino's sports director Gianluca Petrachi confirmed Arsenal's advance in an interview with Sky Italia.
“Yes, we received the offer, but it does not reflect the value of the player.”
“Anyway, he is going nowhere for now. We want to enjoy him, then we’ll see what happens.
“We intend to keep Belotti and President Urbano Cairo signed this important buy-out clause. I think he’s worth more than they have offered.”
Belotti's fine form this season has seen him score 13 goals in 16 league appearances so far.
