Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has backed Mesut Ozil by stating that he is one of the club's most hardworking players.
The German midfielder has come under fire from fans who feel he is lazy and doesn't do enough when the team needs him to.
The hullabaloo was so wild after successive losses to Everton and Manchester City which many supporters attributed to his lacklustre attitude, especially in the latter.
Club legend has come out to shove aside the popular views about Ozil as he claims his contributions are highly underestimated.
“I would’ve loved to have played in the same team as him on a Saturday,” Henry told The Sun.
“He can adapt to any striker and play to their strengths.
“People don’t understand how good he is. People get confused with thinking he’s lazy or doesn’t care. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
