Of all Arsenal players, Mesut Ozil is the one who has received criticism the most after our last two games.
The German international failed to impress against Everton and Manchester City and this got a section of Arsenal supporters throwing insults at him.
Being that the assist king has been in top form prior to these games, many couldn't get answers as to why he had a drastic drop in performance.
In Pat Nevin's view however, it is all down to Olivier Giroud. The former Chelsea man says that Ozil's best can be seen whenever he plays alongside Giroud.
He praised the French international for his hold-up play while also making it known that his contributions aren't appreciated as they should be.
‘People always have a go at Giroud when he plays in a big game and he’s not holding the ball up,’ Nevin told BBC 5 Live.
‘But he’s pushing everything further forward, he’s heading balls down and people like Ozil get more time on the ball.
‘But you’re too busy having a go at Giroud because he’s not holding the ball up the way you want him to.’
