While Arsenal are preparing to welcome a number of their stars back for the North-London derby, their rivals Tottenham are sweating it out on the injury front as they are set to miss three of their players.
The latest key player to pick up an injury is Mousa Dembele who limped off during his side's Champions League game on Wednesday night. The Belgian international is now a doubt for the big game on Sunday.
Speaking on the new development in an interview with the Express, Pochettino had this to say: “He was injured. He asked me (to come off).
“It was his ankle, I think he twisted his ankle and that is the reason he came off. It was not tactical.”
The last issue is the one with Harry Kane. This guy is no doubt their man man at the club. They have missed his presence for too long and now that he has resumed training, he is still far from match fitness. Starting him against Arsenal will be the biggest risk to be taken, so his boss is set to tread carefully.
“No….difficult. Maybe Harry Kane will be available but it’s difficult to play him from the start.
“It’s not fair to talk about names of players who didn’t play [on Wednesday]. We are in a bad moment, we need to be critical and honest.”
This is a very tough period for Tottenham. They have not won any of their last six games in all tournaments and with their present form, one can easily predict Sunday's result.
