Alexis Sanchez has authoritatively stated that he has no fitness issues anymore and is ready to play against Manchester United.
The Chilean international was hit with a hamstring injury which raised doubts over his involvement in the World Cup qualifier game against Uruguay and despite the warning given by Wenger, the forward was featured. He scored two goals in that 3-1 win.
Ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, Sanchez gave an interview in which he made it clear that he is ready to travel with the rest of his teammates on Friday.
“I travel today [Wednesday] to London,” Sanchez told journalists after Chile’s victory. “I will train on Friday and travel the same day to Manchester to play Saturday midday.
“There is no problem with me playing,” he added.
Wenger has however said that an assessment of the former Barcelona man is what will determine his inclusion in the squad to play in that big game.
We will get to know the outcome latest by Friday afternoon when the team must have had their final training session ahead of their trip.
