This is definitely not what any Arsenal fan will like to see but it is inevitable in the game of football. Players come and go during transfers and Arsenal Football Club has not been left out of this as far as the 2016/17 summer transfer window is concerned.
Reports coming from Germany has it that Arsenal midfielder, Serge Gnabry could be leaving Arsenal before the end of the summer transfer window. The club in question is Werder Bremen. They posted on their club's official twitter account that they are in talks with Arsenal for the purchase of the star and revealed that they are hoping for a deal to be sealed very soon.
- #Baumann: "We've agreed terms with the player and we're confident that the transfer will go ahead."
- #Baumann: "@FCBayernEN have no influence on a potential transfer."
The club's sporting director, Frank Baumann stated that the transfer could be completed on or before Wednesday.
"Serge Gnabry would like to play for us," Baumann told a media conference on Tuesday. "Talks with Arsenal are going well.
"We were interested in the player four years ago but unfortunately it didn't work out back then.
"If the Gnabry deal doesn't go through, which I don't expect to happen, we won't be doing any more business.
"[Per] Mertesacker told us a lot about Gnabry. He is a big fan of the player.
"We have reached an agreement with Arsenal but nothing has been finalised as of yet."
German giants, Bayern Munich are also in the pursuit for the signature of Gnabry. However, Baumann says Bayern has no influence on Bremen's move for Gnabry.
Serge Gnabry is certainly not the kind of player any team will love to lose to another club but like I said before, such things are inevitable in football.
