The transfer of Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel has dragged for too long, making many to believe that the news of Arsenal's interest in him is false but Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Elneny is on his way.
It's been two weeks since we learnt of his agreement of personal terms and also his successful medical, and normally, the move should had been sealed by now if not for the work permit acquisition problem. The cub is making good progress and they expect to make an official announcement this week.
Speaking in an interview, Arsene Wenger said: 'I expect movement and we are positive that this week it can happen.' 'The situation can be sorted out. There are work permit problems and special paperwork, a visa, we hope we can finalise it this week. As long as it's not definitely signed you have to be cautious but I'm optimistic.'
