Arsenal Star Says Secret Meeting Inspired Win Over Man United.

It has been revealed by an Arsenal player that a secret meeting held among the players was what helped them give the superb display we experienced on Sunday.

Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium yesterday and according to the Telegraph, Theo Walcott made it known that a private meeting was held.

Before that game in which Alexis Sanchez secured a brace, Mesut Ozil got a goal and an assist, Theo Walcott got two assists and Petr Cech kept a clean sheet, there was immense worry among fans who doubted their side's strength after losing 3-2 to Olympiakos on Tuesday.

Surprisingly Arsenal got three goals in the first half and fought on to secure their comfortable lead against the Red Devils.

Speaking to the press after the game, the English international [Walcott] said it was the oneness and determination in the squad that inspired that triumph.

“That was all for the manager without a doubt. The players spoke to each other on our own and we wanted to do this for the fans. It was the Arsenal of old, everything seemed to click. It sends a message to the Premier League we are here to be recognised no doubt.

“That first-half we were unbelievable, no one could have dealt with us. It was the best football I have been involved in. You could sense from kick-off that the desire was there. We should be playing like that every week.”

Arsenal are now second on the Premier League table, just two points below Manchester city who beat Newcastle United 6-1 on Saturday.
