Ten Arsenal fans have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police in connection with gross misconduct at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
Arsenal paid a visit to the home of their North-London rivals where they secured a 2-1 victory in the Capital One Cup, courtesy Mathieu Flamini's brace which included a superb volley.
At the ground, there were a series of crowd troubles between fans of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur but the FA has released a statement saying it would not mete out any sanctions to the clubs. However, they will assist the police in investigations.
Some Arsenal supporters went as far as ripping off advertising hoardings, an act which the Football Association has tagged a 'criminal issue'. Many loyal and responsible Arsenal fans have heavily criticised such a display as they saw such as 'unnecessary'.
In an official release, Arsenal stated that they aren't happy with the occurrence and vowed to assist the law enforcement authorities in fishing out all the perpetrators.
“We are concerned that this happened, involving a minority of fans,” the statement read.
“We will work with Tottenham Hotspur and the authorities on this.”
Arsenal's win gave them qualification to the fourth round of the competition where they will battle with Sheffield Wednesday.
