Wenger Says He is Determined to Sign Prolific French Striker.

Arsene Wenger has revealed he is willing to sign Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, reports the EPLScouts website.

Arsenal have been seriously linked with a host of strikers as they look to bring in someone who can bang in many goal but as we speak, none has succeeded in sealing a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The latest and most talked about of these strikers is Benzema who it is believed may find it hard to play regularly if he remains at the Santiago Bernabeu because Rafa Benitez is considering deploying Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale as a central forward beginning from next season.

For this reason, an asking price of £40million has been placed on the 27-year-old by the Spanish giants and Wenger who has been a long-term admirer of the Frenchman Is interested in securing his signing.

“Benzema is a great player and we are determined to sign him for the next season," Wenger is quoted as saying by EPLScouts. "Let’s see what happens. We haven’t ruled out another signing. However, I’m happy with the squad.”

Yes, I posted this but it isn't as if I believe it yet. I will only do when I see enough evidence. It's surprising to see that it has not yet been reported by any top British tabloid. Arsene Wenger still talked about this Benzema stuff yesterday but I never heard him say he wants to sign him. What he did was to deny any links with the striker. We shall soon get to know if there is any truth in the above news.
