As they look to boost their squad ahead of the 2015/16 season which begins in August, Arsenal have been making various moves to clear out the dead woods and bring new faces down to the club.
Just about a week ago, Petr Cech completed his £11million transfer from Chelsea and as we speak, Arsenal have successfully snapped up another star. This time, it's a defender who has penned a deal.
Arsenal have signed Jordi Emmanuel Osei-Tutu from Reading. He is a versatile full-back who can also play in the centre and on the flanks. The 16-year-old is another resource for the club's scholarlaship programme after Dragomir who not too long ago signed a three-year contract at Arsenal.
Osei-Tutu spent eight solid years at Reading before making this move to the Emirates Stadium. The youngster who says he is happy to be a Gunner posted the below picture on his Instagram page.
Arsenal fans will not rejoice over such a signing as the defender isn't one expected to break into the first team immediately. He will still have to undergo some professional tutoring before thinking of appearing as a senior team player.
However, this acquisition is not a useless one judging from what we have seen in the past. Arsene Wenger is well-known for grooming players who later turn into highly-sought after stars. Just stay put and watch out for Osei-Tutu. He is a prospect.
