After linking Karim Benzema of Real Madrid with a possible Arsenal switch, the tabloids are now reporting that Arsene Wenger is planning a swoop for Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko.
The Gunners are still looking for a player who can put enough pressure on Olivier Giroud and also help the club win the Premier League.
The likes of Benzema, Lacazette etc have been rumoured to be on the radar of the Arsenal manager but since it looks as if those moves are taking too long to sanction, the Frenchman has decided to beam his searchlight elsewhere.
Dzeko is a proven goalscorer but despite his prowess, he has been told by Man City to leave this summer. He started only 11 Premier League games last term and may end up not getting up to that amount if he is still at City next season.
The arrival of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool has further dented his hopes of getting regular starts and as such he will have to move on to another team.
Roma is another club who are willing to get the services of the 29-year-old but it is believed that he will prefer to remain in England instead of going abroad.
Arsenal have made only one signing in Petr Cech and from what Wenger has revealed, the club is still in the market for more quality.
