He has done it again! It's our own man who did it. Santi Cazorla has been named the PFA Fans' Player Award winner for the month of January.
Cazorla's world class displays for Arsenal throughout last month ensured he finished top of the poll which was organised by 90mins. He recorded a goal and one assist in the Premier League. He also assisted a goal in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Hull in the FA Cup.
He started by catapulting Arsenal to a 3-0 victory against Stoke City before going on to score one and set up another for Giroud at the Etihad Stadium.
This is his second consecutive PFA Fans' award. He was the winner of the December edition after Alexis Sanchez won it in November. It's good to see our players representing us well.
Arsenal beat Aston Villa 5-0 last Sunday. It was our first game in February and the Spanish midfielder had one goal and two assists to his name. He is already on his way to winning the third.
Just yesterday, Cazorla was adjudged the Vitality (Arsenal) Player of the Month (he won the December edition of this one too) for January and now he has been named the best Premier League player for January. That's two awards in the space of forty-eight hours.
The PFA Fans' Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.
One lucky fan voter will be chosen to present Santi Cazorla with the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award in person later this month.
