While the whole world is still waiting to hear from the official website regarding the completion of Gabriel Paulista's transfer to London, we are pleased to inform you that the Villarreal defender has undergone and passed a medical at Arsenal.
The 24-year-old finally got his work permit yesterday and he has since agreed personal terms with the club. The deal which would cost Arsenal around £15million will also include a Joel Campbell loan move to Villarreal.
The Brazillian centre-back will be wearing the number five shirt which was formerly worn by Steve Bould, Martin Keown and Thomas Vermaelen, according to reports. There has also not been any statement made by the club on this.
Concerning the move, a worker at the Arsenal shop this afternoon confirmed that the deal has been sealed but claimed they cannot go on to print shirts when they haven't been told the number the player is going to get.
He said: "We know the signing is completed but we haven't got the number.
"It's all up in the air at the moment. We can't print shirts without having the number confirmed."
