After the long wait for the outcome of the Champions League draw which was held in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday afternoon, we are now aware of who Arsenal will be playing in the final 16 round of the European competition.
Arsenal have been given Group C leaders, AS Monaco as their next opponent in their first phase of the knockout stages. This will surely make Arsene Wenger and the fans happy as they had all wanted to avoid the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich who all finished top of their respective groups. The possibility of arsensl getting a very though team was what made our manager joke about going to church to pray so that we will get a favourable draw. Maybe he actually went to church yesterday and made his request known to God. Lol.
Elsewhere, our league counterparts, Chelsea and manchester City got Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona respectively. Real Madrid got Schalke while our group leaders, Borussia Dortmund got Juventus. Below is a rundown of the draw.
