Arsene Wenger's hopes of getting Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez at Arsenal last summer was dealt a heavy blow by Luis Enrique.
The Arsenal manager was so confident he will get the winger until the Barcelona manager froze the move. Enrique was not willing to lose both Pedro and Sanchez as he needed more attacking options in the absence of Luis Suarez who was serving a ban at that time.
Now that Pedro is being left out of games, the Barca coach still remains on his stand that he will not allow Pedro leave any time soon. Wenger who has been keeping a close watch on the SpanIsh international for a very long time is as well not giving up. He will make a second bid by January.
Latest reports are claiming that Pedro is unhappy at the Camp Nou and has handed in a transfer request to enable him continue plying his trade somewhere else. This will definitely put Arsenal on red alert as they will be looking to pounce on this oppirtunity. The Barcelona is valued in the region of £23million.
Questioned about his future when he was in Brazil with the Spain national team, Pedro said: "I don't know what's going to happen yet, I don't know anything."
I'm calm though, I'm at the World Cup and that's all that matters right now.
"When a decision has to be made, I'll speak with the club and we'll see what happens.
"Right now I'm only concentrating on the Spain squad and having a good World Cup. Whatever comes in the future, will come."
As an Arsenal supporter, how will you feel if this move comes to reality by the end of the coming transfer window?
