Arsenal have gotten a boost as they prepare to face Liverpool at Anfield later today. Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been passed fit to face Bredan Rodger's side.
After Arsenal's 4-1 win against Newcastle United last Saturday, there were fears that the Ox might be out for sometime because of a groin injury which he started struggling with in the game against Galatasaray.
Theo Walcott who has been out for a month as a result of a groin problem was also a doubt for today's game and the manager said he will be assessed to see if he will make the team for Liverpool.
Fortunately for the Gunners, the Mirror and so many other newspapers are claiming that both Walcott and Chamberlain passed their fitness tests and were able to travel down to the Merseyside with the rest of their teammates.
Arsenal have few options in midfield with Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Mikel Arteta all injured and the availability of the Ox is indeed a blessing to a side who are desperately hoping for victory in Sunday's match against the Reds. The English international is expected to partner Santi Cazorla and Mathieu Flamini in midfield.
Giving a start to Theo Walcott might be a risk afterall because he is match rusty and is more likely to underperform if included in the starting lineup. However, his presence on the bench is instrumental as he can still come on and perform some wonders in the latter part of the game.
